Good stop in the plaza. Fruit cup was awesome and very fresh. Bacon was crisp as requested. Croissant sandwiches were large and delicious, just like the French toast. Friendly staff, clean restaurant stocked with neat old pictures and memorabilia.

This review is based on a single visit, one sandwich, and one salad bar purchase. I was not incredibly impressed with this place. The atmosphere is nice and it was very clean. There is a good selection of sandwiches and extras as well as desserts but they are more expensve than they should be. My sandwich was not all that great, I prefer my deli sandwiches to taste better than what I could make at home, and the sandwich I ordered was actually less tasty than I could have made. I would recommend the salad bar, though it was only salad and toppings and one variety of dry muffin, no fruit or cottage cheese or other things that salad bars normally offer. Based on some of the other reviews I read on this place I would recommend at least giving it a try.

This was another impromptu stop after viewing Planet of the Apes Pt II! It was beginning to rain so we were heading back to the hotel again but not for the evening, although we wanted that one last small meal that could be leftover if needed and East Bay was the stop! I love deli sandwiches and although this wasn't the best I've had ( I do think East Bay is a chain), the sandwich was as ordered and simple. I had the Italian with no lettuce, plenty if meats and a side of house ruffled chips w/pickle,...nothing fancy. The staff were warm and friendly and allowed me to taste the chicken salad as I was making a decision. Chain eateries are usually not that creative but fairly basic. East Bay has a nice clean atmosphere which is the overall assessment I have of Mt Pleasant. The deli if fairly large with a seemingly wide variety of choices, breads, meats and cheeses along with chip selections. You can order hot or cold sandwiches. I would dine here again......

I don't get it. I'd actually give this place 2.5 out of 5. Someone tell me what I am missing here with all the 5 star reviews!!! I've been here a couple times because it's close to my house. Everything I've had has been just okay. Not bad but absolutely nothing to write home about. It's quite pricey for the little you get. 10 bucks for a sandwich and a couple crappy chips.... I always walk away still hungry. I'd come here more if the sandwiches were 4-6 bites bigger or if the food was finger licking, mouth watering delicious. Dumb founded....

East Bay deli offers a nice menu of varied sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, baked potatoes, a full salad bar, and more. My favorite sandwich is the turkey reuben, love the rye bread with turkey and sauerkraut. I admit to frequently choosing the salad bar with a large fresh selection of items, including chicken or tuna salad. They do keep it fresh and full all day. Overall EBD has good tasting food and fullfills my tastes, but the service is what keeps this review at 3 stars. They tend to cycle through alot of hired staff, and lack really good counter service. Try it, it's a good option for lunch or even a simple dinner.

Food is good, BUT........ The last two times I ordered online and paid online, there have been problems. Both times I was told I hadn't paid. And, both times I had paid. Just left the restaurant and showed then my order confirmation and my debit card account showing my payment. For several minutes they argued with me until someone showed updating that I did pay. Sorry, but I don't think I'll be back. Fix your systems. Don't argue with customers.

Kids night on Tuesdays! Huge sandwich portions. Reminds me of New York delis. Tried the steak and ale and the mushroom Brie soups. Spot on flavors. Kids loved it!

I have visited three times so far for lunch. I had soup on two occasions and those were pretty good. i had the french dip and I would not get that again. The "au jus" was ok but the sandwich and meat did not have enough flavor. I ordered The Citadel the next two times and I liked that a lot. The meat combo with the honey mustard works well and it is a decent portion. I will have that again and will try other sandwiches too. I live 5 minutes away.

East Bay Deli is one of my go-tos when I'm in Mount Pleasant. Their menu is huge with so many healthy and fresh options. Everyone will find something they love! The salad bar is fresh and delicious but would love if they offered feta cheese and fruit as toppings :( I recently had the buffalo chicken wrap, and it was very good. The sauce is a little on the spicy sauce, just a warning. But overall this place is very friendly and has a nice environment.

Avoid! You can no longer get a side salad bar with your $10 entree for a couple dollars extra at lunch. Been coming here for years but not going to spend $23 on lunch to get a sandwich and side salad bar. Bad business practices lead to no business! Their side salad bar drives their lunch business.

The Cuban was uninspiring at best. not only were the meats and cheese inside uninspiring, the bread was not appropriate to the sandwich. Instead of Cuban bread it was un-toasted Ciabatta bread that tasted more like raw flour than a tasty treat. If they couldn't get correct Cuban bread, then they should have gone French. It wasn't bad enough that I'll refuse to eat there again, but I'll never suggest it.

Good service seems to be a luxury of the past... Employees ignore you, no eye contact, no verbal anything except what amount is due, food quality diminishing, costs increasing....

Really good food. Huge variety of soups, sandwiches, spuds, hot dogs. Gluten free bread! Made my son's day! I'd be a regular if I was local.

You'll get exactly what you're expecting here. Nothing is knock down, drag out amazing, but it's pretty solid deli food. There's a good amount of healthier options which is nice for a deli; the turkey burger was much better than I expected. And there's usually some good daily specials to look for. You can also order online and pick up, which is a good perk. Especially since the staff is usually teenagers who hate their lives and wish you would disappear. This would be a favorite if the food and service was given just a dash more effort.

Food is a solid okay. My family comes here every Sunday. They give you ruffle chips and a pickle as a side for most meals. For kid's meals they give you 2 Oreos. The Charleston Chicken is the popular selection in family, it has two sandwiches with melted cheese on top of a sliced bun with peppers, grilled chicken and mustard sauce inside. The interior environment is homey and decorated with classic posters and laid bikes. It makes you feel more welcome inside. East Bay Deli deserves a 3 star because the food isn't good enough for the set price. But at the same time it's not that bad either. Worth a try.

This is the second time in 1 week that my order was completely botched!!! First they burnt the crap out of my toasted turkey sandwich, to the point of charcoal, then tonight I ordered a grilled ham & cheese, and oh where is the ham?? Yep, you got it....no ham and barely any cheese to call this a grilled cheese!! Looks like toast for dinner!! Unbelievable

When Im looking for a quick meal...East Bay Deli is always somewhere I seem to forget about. Not because its not great!!! I just forget that they can be very quick or a nice sit down restaurant. You can sit and enjoy all the cool decorations they have lining the walls or I read online they add 0% delivery fee!! The food is so yummy from what I have tried. Wraps are so fresh and packed full. Salads are packed and have a lot of chicken. I've heard the "charleston deli dip" is amazing (roast beef on a French loaf with some fresh dip) They have a complete menu online that you can order from and pick a time. Really easy! I definitely recommend East Bay and they've been voted number one deli a few years running now. One note: when getting mayo on a wrap be sure to ask for it light because ONE bad experience they had so much mayo I couldn't eat it. But that was 1/5 wraps I've had. Prices may seem a little bit high for a deli but you get a lot of fresh yummy food. So it's comparable to other Delis.

This is the third time i give East Bay deli in Mount Pleasant a chance. Only because I love the one downtown but this food has consistently been bad.

My husband and I were running late to an appointment and stopped into East Bay Deli for a quick bite to eat. It took about 10 minutes to receive our sandwiches after ordering. I consider the wait absolutely worth it - definitely better than fast food. Our sandwiches were mouth watering and delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping in when you have a bit of time to enjoy what East Bay Deli has to offer.

As a native New Yorker I take my deli seriously. I've been here a few times and always been impressed by the quality, diversity and taste of the menu. Soups, sandwiches and salad bar this place will not disappoint your stomach or your wallet.

The food and service is always top notch. Great food. The salad bar is fantastic with lots of options and always fresh. The potatos are phenomenal and HUGE. Sandwiches are always delicious and fresh. And the breakfast burritos - OMG so delicious. I love when I'm able to get eat there.

After eating at the one in West Ashley the week before - this one leaves a lot to be desired. The service was tepid - at best. The Rajun Cajun was probably the worse deli sandwich that I've ever had. FYI, putting a semi-hot, red sauce on something does not make it Cajun. The kid's pizza was okay. My hubby's gyro was pretty good. All in all - I'd go back to the other one, but probably not this one.

Very good selection of sandwiches, salads, potatoes, and soups. Has something for everyone. Sandwiches are on the large size and more than enough for one person. I've had the "Carolina" which is a turkey sandwich with bacon, tomato and avacado mayo. My wife's had the turkey rueben. Both were delicious and fresh. Most sandwiches are served with chips. Friendly staff and fast service.

Before we go trail bike riding, my husband and I love having a sumptuous energy packed breakfast here! It is delicious, and will last you all day! The sandwiches are delicious, too as I have had the blackened talapia and he had the tuna fish salad. I looked over to the right and noticed a refridgerator case full of delicious bottled soft drinks: NEHI grape and orange, cream soda, root beer, but alas, No sugar free drinks :(. Maybe soon?

Great selection, good portions, quality food and of course great taste. Only had a problem once when my wife had a less than ripe tomato on her sandwich. She went to the counter to get a ripe one, which they gladly replace and went back to our table. In less than a minute one of the girls who worked there came to the table with a card for a free sandwich next time we were in. We told her that was not necessary we were happy with the tomato being replace but she insisted. No need to twist my arm to get me back in.

Great service and fast! I made some adjustments to my sub and they delivered it right and with a smile. The chicken noodle soup was ok.

Crinkle fries! If you like deli food this place is pretty decent. You can get wraps, sandwiches, an occasional burger and hot dogs. I love the hot dog with cole slaw and cheese on it. They season the fries and sometimes they are a tad salty but they are so good anyway. They have a salad bar that looks pretty good, I have never tried it. I would recommend this place to anyone for lunch especially and the ocassional dinner.

We got horribly lost trying to find this place because the address isn't in the GPS. Basically you just need to head north on 17 until you reach the new Wal-Mart complex. It's right after Jack's Cosmic dogs on the right. The deli is actually behind and to the left of the Wal-Mart in the new little shopping area. Anyways, onto the actual deli. We arrived around 1:30 and it wasn't terribly busy, we didn't have to wait in line at all. It's a pretty big space and has a huge breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered the portabello mushroom wrap and my boyfriend got the chicken caesar wrap. Both come with chips and a pickle. For 99 cents I think you can substitute fries, or for a bit more you can get seasonal fruit. The food was tasty but not something I'd be craving every day. They did have this HUGE chocolate cake I want to go back and try...plus their grilled cheese :) I want to say that the total was 18 or 19 dollars, a bit expensive, even though you could probably save half your wrap and eat it for dinner. If it was a bit cheaper I might be inclined to go back more often.

Outstanding sandwiches and soups. I've tried the patty melt and the Reuben and both were enormous and delicious. I've also had the lobster bisque and broccoli cheese soup-both very creamy and made to perfection. The desserts are also something to write home about. I've tried to homemade carrot cake and 5 layer chocolate cake-yummy! Caution: 1 piece of cake is enormous and will easily feed 3. This place easily is the best sandwich/deli joint in town.

Excellent! Food is delicious and great variety. I had the salad bar and it was very fresh and crisp. Will definitely go there again.
